Rainbow Club gets pot of gold

Pride Collingwood organizers appealed to a committee of council this week for financial and in-kind support of the 2023 festival and got more than they bargained for. 

While it still has to pass a vote, Collingwood council members supported a $10,000 cash donation to the festival, another $10,000 of in-kind services, plus touch-ups to the town’s rainbow crosswalk in time for the July event. The committee also supported the idea of including support for the local Pride festival in the annual budget discussions for future yeaâ€Ļ..

‘The community will be very proud’: Pride Collingwood poised to present festival that surpasses predecessor

After a successful first in-person event, the Collingwood Pride Festival is set to return.

The Rainbow Club of South Georgian Bay announced that the 2023 event will take place from July 14 to 16 and will feature a host of new events as well as returning attractions.

Organizers promise ‘bigger and better’ Collingwood Pride 2023

Planning is well underway for Collingwood Pride 2023 and event organizers are saying it will be “bigger and better” than ever before. 

“After the huge success of last year, excitement is brewing,” said John Miller, president of the Rainbow Club of South Georgian Bay and team lead for Collingwood Pride.

Hosted by the Rainbow Club, Collingwood Pride is a free, outdoor community event that will take place July 14 to 16, 2023.
